Opportunity Tickets

What is an Opportunity Ticket?

For Codegarden 2026, we are actively seeking to increase the diversity and accessibility of the event, to provide a safe, inclusive, and fun atmosphere for all who attend.

We recognise that there is a harsh under-representation of certain groups within tech, such as women, non-white people, LGBTQ+ individuals, neurodiverse attendees, and people with disabilities, particularly at tech conferences. Opportunity Tickets are a free tickets that we provide to a limited number of people as a way of getting more of the under-represented groups to experience Codegarden. You are not guaranteed a ticket by applying, but we will choose the people who we believe fit this group to receive a free ticket.

Who can apply for an Opportunity Ticket?

People from underrepresented or marginalised backgrounds in tech who would benefit from extra support to attend Codegarden 2026 are encouraged to apply. This includes, but is not limited to: women and nonbinary people; people of colour; LGBTQ+ people; people with disabilities; and those facing financial barriers.

We also welcome junior or early‑career developers who would gain from the conference and first‑time attendees who might otherwise be unable to attend.

Practical Information

  • The deadline for applying for an Opportunity Ticket is March 31st, 2026. We will notify all applicants of the outcome in the beginning of April 2026.

  • You can apply for either the Full Online Ticket or the Full In-person Experience Ticket. The ticket covers everything a regular ticket covers. It does not include travel or accommodation, so please consider this if you're applying for an in-person ticket.

  • If you receive an Opportunity Ticket, it will not be stated anywhere - your ticket and name tag will look exactly the same as anyone else attending the event.

  • Do you have any questions? The Developer Relations Team are in charge of the Opportunity Tickets - you can contact us at community@umbraco.dk
